Our next song is kind of interesting...

The lyrics for our next song, "The World Is Made of Fire", are taken from various translations of the fragments of Heraclitus arranged by Kris in such a way as to constitute an artistically interesting set of lyrics.  It's also a very pretty song. We are excited for you guys to hear it.

It's Our Birthday

Exactly four years ago I decided it was time to instantiate some Monadic properties once again.  I recruited Carrie Jenkins and Ben Bradley to the cause.  The 21st Century Monads were born!  Later Hille Paakkunainen joined the band and we've only gotten better since.

Our first song was "My Paper Was Rejected Again", released while the trials and tribulations of attempting to publish in modern journals was still fresh in my head. While the blood was still hot. While the passions were still strong.  The passions are always strong.  Fortunately, most of the time the passions are positively directed and invigorating.

I love philosophy and have felt incredibly fortunate to be able to pursue it as a living.  Like many people in our profession, I literally cannot imagine doing anything else.  How amazing then it is for me to also have the opportunity to make music with my extremely talented bandmates.  In the last four years, I've written or co-written close to 70 songs, most of which have been released in our five albums.

I think our fifth album is our best album yet.  There are three songs left to release.

Thanks for sticking with us and listening to our music.
